Purpose
Each year to kick off the Rain and Rose Charity weekend, we come together to give back to the community through volunteering.
Similar to 2018, the Day of Service will be held in the sector of La Hormiga. La Hormiga is one of our neighboring communities that was severely impacted by Hurricane Maria and due to title issues is unable to obtain FEMA support.
In partnership with a local organization called Hunger Corp, our goal is to support the effort to rebuild or rehabilitate all 31 homes, improve the community and provide asset based community development over the course of many years until the job is done.
Please join us on September 20th 2019, 2 years to the day since hurricane Maria struck Puerto Rico, to support this community service initiative!
You do not have to be attending the Rain and Rose event to attend. Spaces limited to shuttle availability, so you must sign up. Lunch, snacks and refreshments will be provided. All skill levels welcome!
